Our dentists at Denta Dental are proud to offer several options of excellent dentures. Dentures are designed to look and function just like the teeth that have been lost. There are several varieties available, and they all are created to appear just like natural teeth.

  1. Full dentures are for people who have lost all or the majority of their teeth. We also offer implant supported over dentures that are specifically designed for each individual.
  2. Partial dentures are appropriate for patients who have lost only few teeth. They are removable teeth that are completely artificial, but your friends and family will not be able to tell the difference.

Our office is conveniently located in Kensington and we serve Fort Hamilton, Bay Ridge, Borough Park, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, Flatbush, Brighton Beach, and surrounding areas. We have expert dentists who will take their time and explain the procedures. When the dentures are formed they take precise care in fitting the dentures, so you will experience comfortable and functional wear. Accessing Fitting for Full Dentures

As soon as Dr. Yuri Krainov diagnose that full dentures are the best solution, the process will begin. The entire process may take as long as a month, depending on which dentures you choose and the work that needs to be done first. Dr. Yuri Krainov always ensures that the gums and inner mouth are totally healed before going ahead with fitting the dentures.

Full dentures are made from either porcelain or hard plastic prosthetic teeth, and they are made to look and perform exactly like natural teeth. The metal or plastic base that holds the teeth allows the user to completely remove them for cleaning at night.

Immediate dentures are placed in the mouth first, as soon as all the teeth have been removed. When the gums heal, the conventional dentures can then be placed in the mouth with no irritation whatsoever. It is important to have dentures if your teeth are gone, because they support the structure of your face and keep the muscles in the mouth from falling into disuse.

The Procedure

At Denta Dental, our staff wants to ensure that your new dentures fit and function perfectly, so feel free to ask any questions throughout the process. The entire procedure will take up to a month.

  • First, if any oral work needs to be done, Dr. Yuri Krainov will make sure that it is finished.
  •  After the work has been finished, the gums will need time to heal before they can be measured.
  • Next, Dr. Yuri Krainov will take an impression of your mouth, and you will decide the color and shape of your dentures.
  • All this information is then sent to the Lab, where your dentures are created according to the specs.
  • In two weeks, dentures will come to the office where they are precisely fitted, and Dr. Yuri Krainov will instruct you how to take of them.

Implant-supported Over Dentures

If the patient has most of their lower teeth, there is another type of denture known as “over dentures” that can be used. These are secured onto the natural teeth with bar joints for support, so they appear like natural teeth. These dentures are not removable and become a permanent fixture in the mouth.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used when the patient is only missing a few teeth. They are secured in place using your natural teeth or metal clasps. The process is very similar to the process for full dentures.

Partial dentures actually carry out a function in holding natural teeth in place. When they have no support, it can lead to oral problems including tooth decay, tissue damage and hindering your chewing ability. Partial dentures can be removed to clean, but patients typically leave them in 24/7 because this maintains a proper fit.

Dr. Yuri Krainov is happy to assist their patients with convenient scheduling and to answer any and all questions you may have. Feel free to call us at (718) 871-0868
